Internet bullying against women
Unscrupulous internet bullies who spread deceitful images to victimise Mei Fun warrant condemnation. I denounce irresponsible netizens who doctored and spread raunchy photos to belittle women. Those with a conscience and justice should also chastise the misdeed of these unscrupulous cyberspace bullies and halt spreading those photos.

I am saddened that the
Barisan Nasional candidate for Kajang Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun has fallen
victim to Opposition online bullies who have superimposed photographs Mei Fun’s
appearance unto indecent and explicit photos. Most definitely, these unsavoury
images are intended to tarnish Mei Fun’s image and assassinate her character.
Furthermore, they have even launched personal attacks against Mei Fun. Such
behaviour is disgraceful, deplorable and completely unacceptable.
These photos
disseminated on the internet cause discomfort to other netizens besides
degrading women. These internet bullies have no conscience as they will do
anything to achieve their objective of launching personal attacks and
vicitimising the BN candidate.
I implore on all
cybertroopers to deploy a constructive and civilized approach to garner public
support. We should compare policies, ideology to judge who is sincere and
determined to work for the constituents, rather than vilifying and insulting
candidates online. I urge the people to protest against such a political
threat and reject such an unhealthy election culture.
To deter it from
happening again, I appeal to all Kajang voters especially women to uphold
justice on March 23, to vote for Chew to say an outright “no” to these
unscrupulous netizens and persecution against women.
