Najib's arrival at the hotel at 5.15pm was met by a group of teenagers shouting 'Hidup Perdana Menteri', '1Malaysia' and 'Barisan Nasional' (BN).
He spent about one hour atthe tea party with the Chinese community leaders.
Also present were Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop, Penang BN chairman Teng Chang Yeow and Penang Umno chief Datuk Zainal Abidin Osman.
Sunday night, he is scheduled to attend a Chinese New Year dinner with the media at G Hotel in Persiaran Gurney and and celebrate the birthday of Prophet Muhammad at Masjid Kapitan Keling.
The Prime Minister also savoured the popular Penang nasi kandar at Kedai Nasi Kandar Beratur located near the mosque -
